Over the years customers have asked us a variety of questions. Here are some of the more common one’s we’ve answered.
Bedbugs are small, oval shaped reddish brown insects that are about 1/4 of an inch long.
They live in mattresses and box springs as well as in furniture, cracks in walls and light sockets. Usually at night they will crawl onto the bed and bite a sleeping person. The bites appear as red raised bumps in most cases.
Bedbugs can be difficult to control so a professional should be called to evaluate the situation.
A carpenter ant service is done by treating the interior and exterior of the house. Usually we look to locate and treat the satellite or main nest outside which can be located in fallen trees or rotting tree stumps, railroad tie walkways and retaining walls.
However it is not always possible to find the satellite nest.
We then locate and treat as many of the interior nests we can find. This is usually within areas that contain moisture and dampness.
The best way to control mice is by using glue traps, snap traps and bait that is placed in locked bait boxes.
We typically place these around the perimeters of garage, in crawlspaces, the attic and inconspicuous areas around the kitchen, behind stove and under sink.
Let me give you one example of an eco-friendly approach to pest control that is proven to be safe and effective.
Cryonite is the latest treatment that is commercially available for ridding your home or business of bed bugs. It works by applying a carbon dioxide snow of optimum particle size and speed that kills adult insects, larvae and eggs on contact, essentially freezing them on contact.
It is safe for treating mattresses and furniture.
And because no pesticides are used (or residues to clean up afterwards) it is safe for any environment (home, schools, hotels). It is kid and pet friendly, environmentally sound, with little or no downtime for a business or a requirement for you to leave your home for an extended period of time.
Why not give us a call and ask your question today. We look forward to hearing from you.
After all, it's your home, or business.
